GAZ Group says to switch to 4-day work week in June for 6 months
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, May 15 (PRIME) -- Russian automaker GAZ Group plans to switch to a 4-day working week in June for six months due to a decline in orders, a spokesperson for the group told PRIME on Friday.
“In June, GAZ switches to a 4-day operating mode. The shortened schedule is introduced for six months – from June 19 till December 18,” the spokesperson said.
“Also, as a necessary measure due to the drop in the order volume GAZ will suspend production from June 22 to July 5. For the period, the employees will go on a corporate leave, which is traditionally held in late July – early August.”
